What’s different or new about the 2009 Version?
● It was written specifically with high school Spanish (grades 9-12) in mind
● All of the stories and readings are brand new, none repeated from my 2005 books
● It’s more comprehensive – telling time, numbers, calendar, etc. are all here
● Much more closely follows the order and expectations of most Spanish 1 textbooks, so that students will be ready for common assessments at 9 weeks and semester
● I was more purposeful about including grammar practice, varying the verb forms in the stories and readings, etc.
● I included a greater variety of speaking and cooperative learning activities
● I made or found several new graphic organizers
● I went into more detail about how I do TPR and Storytelling
● I noted the time it takes me to do a given activity in each lesson plan
● The vocab is very similar to the Exprésate series of textbooks (In 2005 I was using vocab similar to Dime Uno)
● The stories and quizzes for this version will be available in electronic form with book purchase
● A native Spanish speaker edited my Spanish
