I just now Googled (ha!) that topic and it sounded like that's only true for certain area codes, but you can still use a different area code and get a number. If you already have a Google Voice number, why not just continue using that, though? It shouldn't be a problem for most kids with cell phones to call whatever area code you tell them.<br /><br />I haven't heard of (free) alternatives but I did just Google search that as well. Several links popped up, and I didn't follow them all, but maybe it would be worth it to do a search on "free alternatives to Google Voice" and look at what pops up if nothing else.<br /><br />I hope this works out for you! Bummer if not. :-(Jalenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04215145953021037097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-706391172520946061.post-73315671101725531422015-08-08T08:47:11.586-07:002015-08-08T08:47:11.586-07:00HI Jalen, Did you know that Google voice is being ...HI Jalen, Did you know that Google voice is being phased out and new numbers are not being issued! We have a teacher dashboard (through Hapara, a paid app) so I can easily access their Spanish folders on Drive. It's been very easy and helpful to grade them on my own time!iffer624https://www.blogger.com/profile/18042024551997990859noreply@blogger.com
